2022 Lantern Festival

If you have seen the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics, you must have an impression of the Chinese festivals named after seasons. The same is true of watching the moon, which is also an ancient Chinese custom.

The fifteenth day of the first lunar month is the Lantern Festival in China because the first lunar month is called "Yuan"(means "the beginning, the first") Month, and the ancients called the day "Ye Xiao". Day 15 is the first night to see a full moon. So the day is also called the Lantern Festival or ShangYuan Festival in China.

According to Chinese tradition, at the beginning of the new year, when a bright moon hangs in the sky, there should be thousands of colorful lanterns hung out for people to celebrate together.

At this time, people will try to solve the puzzles on the lanterns and eat Yuan Xiao/TangYuan (glutinous rice ball), and spend time with the whole family together. Those places where lantern festivals are held on the ShangYuan Festival are also the beginning of some love stories back in the old days.

New teammates and old friends had fun in the game, and most of them got prizes. The fastest way to get to know each other is to accomplish a small goal together, right?

🏮🏮🏮Happy Lantern Festival 2022 to all those celebrating across the globe!  🏮🏮🏮
